WEANING WITH KINDNESS

Weaning doesn't need to feel scary.

It can feel...
Calm, kind and confidence building.

I support parents and professionals to approach weaning in a way that feels calm, respectful and realistic by understanding the baby's cues, sensory needs and emotional world, while gently building confidence for the adults supporting them too.

A calm, thoughtful approach rooted in experience and understanding

With over two decades of experience supporting babies, children and families, my work is rooted in understanding how early experiences shape confidence, connection and relationships with food.

I am the creator of the KIND approach centered on Kindness, Individuality, Nurture and Discovery.

My work is informed by sensory development, neuroscience and real life family dynamics.

I support both parents and professionals to feel confident, capable and deeply understood.

This support is for you if...

You want weaning to feel calmer, more connected and more intuitive without pressure, fear or rigid rules.

For parents...

  • Feels anxious about choking or gagging, even after reading all the advice.

  • Feels overwhelmed by conflicting weaning methods and opinions.

  • Wants to trust your baby but also wants reassurance you're doing enough.

  • Believes connection matters more than perfection.

For professionals...

  • Supports families through weaning and wants to do so without judgement.

  • Understands that every baby and family is different.

  • Is curious about a kinder, more intuitive approach to introducing solids.

  • Wants parents to leave feeling confident, not criticised.

The KIND Method

The KIND method offers a gentle framework for introducing solids one that supports the baby's experience and the adults comfidence, without pressure, fear or rigid expectations.

K - Kindness

Weaning begins with kindness towards the baby, their pace and the adult supporting them. This means reducing pressure, easing fear and creating a sense of safety around food.

I - Individual

Every baby is different. The KIND method respects each baby's development, sensory needs and readiness, rather thsn expecting them to fit a one size fits all approach.

N - Nurture

Nurture sits at the heart of weaning.

Building trust, connection and emotional safety supports a baby's relationship with food far more than focusing on intake or outcomes.

D - Discover

Weaning is a process of discovery. Babies explore tastes, textures and skills over time, while adults learn to observe, respond and adjust with confidence.
