A kinder, calmer way to approach weaning

for babies, parents and the professionals who support them.

I'm Lisa, the founder of the KIND weaning approach.

I support parents and professionals to approach weaning with confidence and understanding by tuning into the baby's cues, sensory needs and emotional world, while gently supporting the adults too.

Why I created the KIND approach...

I've spent over two decades supporting babies, children and families and I've seen how quickly weaning can shift from something overwhelming.

When my own confidence was shaken by rigid advice and judgement around feeding, I realised how easily parents are made to doubt themselves during this stage. That experience stayed with me and shaped everything that followed.

The KIND approach was created to bring the focus back to what really matters: understanding the baby, respecting individuality, nurturing connection and allowing discovery to unfold naturally without pressure, fear or rigid expectations.

"Weaning isn't something to master.

It's something to experience together."

Why I do this ...

I've spent over two decades supporting babies, children and families. I've seen how quickly confidence can be shaken when it comes to weaning. When my own confidence was affected by rigid advice and judgement, I realised how easily parents are made to doubt themselves during this stage. That experience stayed with me and it shaped everything that followed.

The KIND approach was created to bring the focus back to what really matters: understanding the baby, respecting individuality, nurturing connection and allowing discovery to unfold naturally. It removes pressure, fear and rigid expectations and replaces them with calm, confidence and trust for babies and the adults supporting them.
